What to Expect from the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid
September 08 2022, Lallier Honda Montreal
The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid will be the most efficient version of the popular SUV ever and it will mark the first time this model is offered in Canada.
An improved fuel economy
The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid will be the most fuel-efficient CR-V ever due to the help of two electric motors and a large battery. This will allow the hybrid model to burn significantly less fuel than the regular gasoline model while offering a higher level of performance. Not content with being more powerful than the current version, the 2023 hybrid will be the most powerful CR-V ever made with its combined system output of 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. In addition to offering more torque, this powertrain benefits from its electric motors to offer an instant response to the accelerator, without having to wait for the transmission to shift.
More cargo space
Like the gasoline-powered model, the hybrid version of the 2023 Honda CR-V can claim to have the largest cargo space of any CR-V ever made due in most part to the larger exterior size of the new model. This change in proportions allows up to 2,166 litres of usable space behind the front seats. Even when five passengers are on board, the new CR-V Hybrid benefits from 34 additional litres of space compared to last year’s model. Unlike many EVs, the hybrid version has the same cargo space as the gasoline model since the battery is placed under the leading area instead of partially in it.
More technologies than ever
Since the hybrid model will sit at the top of the CR-V lineup for 2023, this version will be equipped with all of the latest and most popular technologies in order to improve its comfort, convenience, and safety. For example, the 2023 Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid model comes equipped with the Traffic Jam Assist system, which takes partial control over the steering and the speed of the vehicle in order to make the driver more at ease even when stuck in heavy traffic.
